10 Things WWE Fans Expected To Have Seen By Now

10. The Anonymous Raw GM

Some storylines just get discarded, never to be heard from again. It's almost like they didn't happen at all, like promotions just expect fans to get caught up in everything else going on and forget them.

That's exactly the situation with the long-ridiculed 'Anonymous Raw General Manager' angle.

Unveiled by Vince McMahon in 2010, the unnamed authority figure would send in emails to be read by Michael Cole. The situation was an intriguing one, and many wondered who WWE would introduce as being behind the messages.

Unfortunately, it came across loud and clear later that WWE themselves didn't have a satisfying answer to that question.

After a period of not using the gimmick, the company decided to reveal Hornswoggle as the one who had been sending emails from underneath the ring. Naturally, this didn't appease fans, it was a stupid end to what had been a promising story.

Via their official website, WWE then questioned the validity of the Hornswoggle claims. This reopened a story that - as of yet - hasn't been fully answered. It probably (almost definitely) never will be.
