2. John Cena Breaking Ric Flair's World Title Record

Ooh, look at that. There's WWE showing some restraint, and keeping the world waiting for that elusive record-breaking moment John Cena fans can point to as an example of his brilliance and detractors can use to sharpen their knives. As things stand, Cena is tied with Ric Flair on 16 World Title wins.

He'll surely break that at some point in 2018. When Cena beat AJ Styles at the 2017 Royal Rumble, however, it was predicted that he'd shatter Flair's long-standing haul with a triumphant 17th victory before the end of the year. Scratch that, actually; we thought it might happen long before Winter.

Cena spent a lot of time away from WWE in 2017. His return just in time for this year's Rumble is ominous, but man, how those writers managed to show such patience when such an obviously huge moment was staring them straight in the face is astounding.
