10 Things WWE Fans Need To Know About The Luscious Lana

8. She Used To Be Signed To Ne-Yo€™s Record Label

Back in 2009, Lana once was part of a girls group called €œNo Means Yes€ (don€™t ask) that was signed to R&B superstar Ne-Yo€™s record label. The name sounds like something Prince would have called a girls band that he played all the instruments for in the 80€™s. They have song titles called €œWould You Like That?€ €œBurn Rubber, and €œ7 Years Bad Luck.€ Their bio described them as, €œAn Asian rocker/rapper, an Indian Soul Singer, a Russian breaker/ballerina (assumed to be Lana) and a Jamaican pop princess forming the new voice of change and female empowerment, while striving for excellence and success through music€. Her dance background helped get her in the group. Lana once said €œI remember them saying we can work with her tone because she has the right look and she break dances.€ In that case she was hardly the first talented dancer with questionable vocals in the history of female pop music. The group disbanded in 2010, but she was able to turn her time in the group into another opportunity.
