Austin Aries captured pretty much every major title available in the TNA promotion. Alongside Bobby Roode, he formed 'Dirty Heels', a unit which won the TNA World Tag-Team Titles on one occasion. The tandem proved popular, and arguably should have had greater success. Both wished to be singles stars however, and both men would thrive individually when handed the opportunity. A 6-time holder of the championship, Aries was regularly linked to the TNA X Division Title during his multiple tenures in the company. In 2013, he even stepped up the ladder of success and grabbed his chance to be TNA World Heavyweight Champion. His victory, coming at Destination X in July, 2012 (ironically over Bobby Roode) was warmly received by TNA fans. Aries was the 5th 'Triple Crown Champion' in the promotion, a prize won by capturing the top 3 titles in TNA.
