House of Truth trainer Jimmy Jacobs was paired with Seth Rollins (as Tyler Black) in the Age of the Fall stable in Ring of Honor (and other independent promotions including Wrestling Society X - where Jacobs and Rollins teamed as emo-themed team "DIFH (Do It For Her)") where Jacobs and Black were twice the Ring of Honor Tag team champions. Thus, it's entirely possible that long before Schreiber was signed to World Wrestling Entertainment that Rollins had made Schreiber's acquaintance.
