2. Kevin Owens Vs. Shane McMahon

Despite being a touch too long, the main event between Kevin Owens and Shane McMahon was a lot of fun. Well, it was a lot of fun when you weren’t fearing for the safety of both men - the stretch that took place on top of the cell was almost unbearable. Overall it was a good match, and one light years ahead of Shane’s cell match with The Undertaker.

WWE has a real problem with pacing in 2017, and a simultaneous issue with creating true suspense and tension in its matches. This match had plenty of both, despite being a violent brawl involving an authority figure. Yes, it was a car crash, but it was the best car crash it could be. It has been a long time since a WWE main event tugged on the heartstrings like this one.

The finish was genuinely intriguing too, with Sami Zayn seemingly helping his best friend/mortal enemy Owens at the last second. Granted, the world does not need Shane McMahon falling from great heights any more, but Shane-O Mac is a special type of entertainer who can make his own choices. This was a thumbs up brawl, albeit a terrifying one.
