6. The Build To A Match That Can't Happen
In a way the continued verbal battles between The Miz and Daniel Bryan are setting us all up for huge disappointment, as the only way the story can end is with a match between the two at WrestleMania 33. That is the only way it can go, right? Even if Bryan brings in a surrogate (a Swiss surrogate, maybe) to fight in his place, it isn’t going to be the same. Bryan/Miz is the hottest feud in WWE right now.
Even so, allowing the two to continue their bitter arguments on Talking Smack was a great idea. Every time they get into a shouting match The Miz becomes more and more credible, and whilst his feud with Ziggler has been good it has also felt somewhat like a side-story to the bigger picture. The Miz is desperate for acceptance that he doesn’t quite deserve.
This was another fabulous back and forth, one that showed the strengths and weaknesses of both men. Daniel Bryan vs. The Miz is unlikely to happen at WrestleMania 33, but if it did it would be the most heated match on the card.
