10 Things WWE Regrets About WrestleMania

4. Choosing The Wrong Main Events

There's an understandable desire from WWE to present either the WWE or Universal Title match as WrestleMania's main event. This, back when Hulk Hogan was running amok, made sense. He was the biggest star, and that championship was enhanced by his star power. That hasn't always been the case with others.

For example, in what way was The Undertaker vs. Sycho Sid better than Bret Hart vs. Austin at 'Mania 13? To that point, there's no way a rudimentary Triple H vs. Chris Jericho match could top the extravaganza that was Hulk Hogan vs. The Rock at X-8. Similarly, Randy Orton vs. Triple H and John Cena vs. The Miz at 25 and XXVII respectively sucked compared to 'Taker vs. Shawn Michaels and 'Taker vs. Triple H.

Sometimes, it's better if the World Title bout doesn't go on last.

Look back on these events now and the same feeling of dissatisfaction beams off the screen. Matches like Hogan vs. Rock had such energy that the follow-up Undisputed Title effort seemed like a bonus dark match rather than a fitting sign-off for 'Mania.
