10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Batista

By John Canton /

Batista is one of the biggest stars in recent WWE history. As a six-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion and two time WrestleMania headliner, every wrestling fan knows his name. Earlier this year, he returned to WWE as the winner of the Royal Rumble match after a nearly four year absence.

While his return was not celebrated in the sense that he wasn't cheered much by the WWE Universe, he did have an impressive showing in the WrestleMania 30 main event as he tapped out to Daniel Bryan in a match that also included Randy Orton.

His career in WWE started in 2000 when he came to Ohio Valley Wrestling and two years later he made his WWE debut. After learning a lot about the business from Evolution mates Ric Flair, Triple H and Randy Orton, he showed all the tools it took to become a top guy. By 2005, he was in the main event of WrestleMania against Triple H, who he beat for the World Title. For the next five years he was considered a top guy in WWE until he left the company in the spring of 2010.
