Bret Hart is one of the greatest Superstars in the history of the WWE. His career started in the mid 1980s when he became one half of the Hart Foundation tag team with Jim Neidhart, then he became an Intercontinental Champion in 1991 and in 1992 he won his first WWE Title. For the next five years he was one of the biggest stars in the company that went on to win the WWE Title five times. He's considered the most popular Canadian wrestler of all time. Hart's most famous match was also his last match as a full time performer at Survivor Series 1997. He was the victim of a screwjob perpetrated by his opponent Shawn Michaels as well as his boss Vince McMahon and he left the company with a lot of his anger in his heart. We didn't know if he'd ever work for WWE again. He was inducted into WWE's Hall of Fame in 2006 although he had no other on screen association with the company until his celebrated return in 2010. It's time to look back at his career for those things that WWE wants us to forget about him. The thing with Bret is that he's an open book. He wrote one of the most detailed autobiographies in the history of wrestling in 2007 and it provided great insight into a lot of things in his career as well as his private life. The DVD documentary about him in 2005 covered a lot. His Rivalries DVD with Shawn Michaels in 2011 went over a lot of material too. There may not be any wrestler that has been as open about things as Bret. There's a lot of info about him that's out there, so there's no way to capture it all. We're just here to pick out ten interesting things that WWE won't brag about when it comes to Bret. They will mostly be storyline things or behind the scenes stories. It's not a case of ripping on Bret. As a Canadian wrestling fan myself, he's one of my favorites of all time. He's beloved in Canada. It's just a look at his career from a different perspective. Here are ten things that WWE wants you to forget about the man that said he was the best there is, the best there was and the best that there ever will be...Bret "Hitman" Hart.
