10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Lita

Possible rape, adultery and being fired for refusing to pose nude for Playboy. It's all part of a WWE diva's storyline (mostly)...

Amy Dumas is one of the most revolutionary female performers the wrestling business has ever seen. Bursting onto the seen in 2000, she went from the manager of a lower card guy (Essa Rios) to a genuine star within a matter of months, receiving crowd reactions that rivalled the ones the likes of Steve Austin and The Rock would hear. Lita's WWE career went from strength to strength as she broke down more and more barriers while winning championships and setting the standard for the women who would follow in her wake. She, along with Molly Holly, Trish Stratus and Victoria, really helped re-define the perception of women's wrestling in the mid-2000s, but the flame-haired daredevil retired in 2006. Following her retirement she popped up from time to time in what amounted to little more than cameo appearances as she was focusing on her music and other endeavours, before a WWE Hall of Fame induction came calling in 2014. It was well-deserved for someone who literally broke her neck for Vince McMahon's company but never really got the credit she warranted while under their employ. Lita, who is now a member of the WWE creative team, believe it or not, has many skeletons in her wrestling closet, from some very unsavoury storylines to some brutal beatings at the hands of her male counterparts. Here are 10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Lita. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=75t9Zd0xH1g
