3. The Whole 'Soccer Mom' Deal
AJ Styles has the same hairstyle in 2018, albeit slightly longer, as he did two years ago when Dean Ambrose was teasing him for having a 'soccer mom' hairdo. WWE seem to have forgotten that they once had one of their top babyfaces (Ambrose) encourage fans to chant the 'soccer mom' barb at their current WWE Champ.
They probably don't want it brought up now.
Casual WWE fans have grown to respect AJ, and they view him as a stand-up dude who will fight, scratch and claw to represent them as champion. Rewind to 2016 though and Styles was there to be ridiculed for daring to rock the middle-aged bob on live TV; it should also be pointed out that Dean's hair was hardly stylish itself back then.
The whole angle came across as childish when it was supposed to hype a match between SmackDown's top stars for the richest price in pro wrestling. Maybe if AJ had a different 'do these days, this one wouldn't seem so embarrassing.
