10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Jeff Hardy

10. He Publicly Pitched Something Huge

Jeff only appeared on Steve Austin's 'Broken Skull Sessions' a few weeks ago.

During the interview, a passionate Hardy told the legend that he wanted to wrestle Roman Reigns and enjoy a run as Universal Champion before hanging up his boots. That public pitch might've come as a slight surprise to WWE - Austin's shows always have a loose feel, so producers may not have even known Jeff was gonna mention Reigns.

Neither of those things will happen now, which is a shame. Hardy would've been a fine stopgap opponent for Roman during the Royal Rumble-WrestleMania filler pay-per-views (which those February/March shows certainly are), and that could've been pencilled in as a potential plan.

Not now.

WWE will move on from 'Broken Skull' quickly. Don't expect them to promote Jeff's interview despite it being Austin's most recent, and definitely don't expect Vinnie Mac's league to talk about what might have been between Hardy and Reigns.
