10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About The New Day

4. Randy Orton's Dressing Down

These days, The New Day appear to enjoy a pretty cordial relationship with Randy Orton. It wasn't long ago, actually, that they were making light of his proclivity for forming and then dissolving dynastic WWE stables.

Before Big E and Xavier Woods turned up, however, Jamaican-era Kofi Kingston found himself on The Viper's naughty list. We know this because of well-sourced backstage gossip, and the fact that he once broke character to openly call him "STUPID!" repeatedly, right in the middle of a match.

To the layman, Kofi's crimes don't appear particularly severe. He was basically just guilty of messing up the planned finish of a match in which they were both involved, by standing up for an RKO instead of kneeling for a punt to the head.

And it's easy to laugh at now, but at the time this public dressing down threatened to seriously derail the former ECW star's once-promising singles run. The lesson here is that you really don't want to get on the wrong side of any veterans, especially not ones named Randy Orton.
