4. Helped Calm Scott Steiner's Nerves At Final Nitro
During the final episode of WCW's Monday Nitro in April, 2001, there was a lot of confusion backstage as to exactly what fate was awaiting everybody involved in the spiraling company. Vince McMahon had purchased WCW, that much was certain, but it remained to be seen which wrestlers and staff he would transfer over to his own World Wrestling Federation. Some, such as DDP, secretly knew they already had jobs waiting for them, but others weren't quite so sure. One of the most nervous was Scott Steiner, who feared that this was the end of his last big run in wrestling. Steiner would sit out his contract with AOL/Time Warner, before resurfacing in the short-lived WWA promotion, eventually making his way to WWE in late-2002. Booker T didn't know what his own future was, but he must have been quietly confident that he'd be one of the ones to get his contract picked up by McMahon. Before facing Steiner on the final edition of the show, Booker had to sufficiently calm his peer down, ensuring him that everything would be ok, also being the voice of reason for a few other panicking employees.
