In 1993, the 'Sweet Chin Music' didn't exist. At least, the Crescent Kick wasn't yet called that, and it definitely wasn't the move Shawn Michaels used to end his matches. Years before he was 'tuning up the band' and thrilling fans with a simple Superkick, HBK used a basic teardrop suplex as his main finisher. It's weird to see now.
More odd is watching the trademark kick being used as set up for a finishing move Michaels desperately needed to get away from. The suplex lacked any impact, speed or finality, and that left the New York crowd surprised to see Max Moon go down for the three count after Michaels hit him with it.
When people are shocked Max Moon didn't kick out of something, you know it's not a great finishing move. The best thing Michaels ever did was develop his Superkick routine, add some stomps and move away from lame holds that others used for a quick near fall.
