9. Jurn Simmons Is Causing Waves In His Native Germany
Jurn Simmons wasn't the only German to tryout this week, he was joined by Christian Tscherpel. Whilst the latter is a Cruiserweight star trained by Alex Wright for the ex-WCW star's New European Championship Wrestling promotion, the larger Simmons works mainly for wXw.
There, he is a 2-time Unified World Wrestling Champion. That title has also been held by the likes of Daniel Bryan and the world-travelled Zack Sabre Jr, amongst others. At only 25 years of age, Simmons is already causing waves in his homeland, but he would have been a fresh face at WWE's tryouts for the likes of Regal and Bloom to have a look at.
Simmons is one to watch out for, because it's only a matter of time before he outgrows Germany and seeks out opportunities to broaden his experience. If not WWE, then the UK independent scene is surely waiting.
