Before coming to NXT as Sami Zayn, El Generico developed from being a slightly silly luchadore character to become one of the finest performers in North America. He travelled everywhere, wrestled everyone and won a whole host of championships along the way. His only meeting (as far as I know) with AJ Styles is a bit of an obscure one as such, but it exists nonetheless. It was actually a triple threat match. The third man going up against these two legendary performers? None other than Crazy Crusher! The match took place in the little known Elite Wrestling Revolution (nope, me neither) and happened over 10 years ago in 2004 in Quebec. All that exists is the highlight video, but I can confirm that it was Styles who came out on top, which isn't much of a surprise considering how much more name value he had at the time,
