10 Times Brock Lesnar's Ego Ran Wild In WWE
10. The First Goldberg Match
Granted, Bill Goldberg was just as complicit in the utter disaster that was his WrestleMania XXX bout with Brock, but it's impossible to ignore Lesnar's role in what remains one of the most turgid matches in the event's history.
Both men were on their way out of the company at the time. The fans understood this before the event, and thus, negative reactions were inevitable, regardless of the bout's quality. Still, the duo going all-out to end their respective WWE runs on a high would've likely bought them a shred of goodwill on their way out the door, but they took the opposite route.
Neither Goldberg nor Lesnar wanted to exert themselves, and both mailed their bell-to-bell performances in. It was a match defined by inactivity, and at times resembled nothing more than an elongated series of staredowns, with the audience rightly s***ting all over it for the duration.
Brock, ever the mature adult, responded to all this by raising a middle finger while making his departure. A grim way for both men to go out, and it all stemmed from their own egos.
