Ziggler had already flirted with the main event scene, including a ten-minute World Heavyweight title reign in 2011. Of course, in latter day WWE, pushes have the life-expectancy of peppered moths, and Ziggler remained tethered to the upper-midcard, aside from some excellent matches with CM Punk over the WWE Championship. So often, performers end up back at square one. Before Jericho began yet another sabbatical after SummerSlam 2012, he put Ziggler over clean as a sheet in a match where Jericho put his career on the line against Ziggler's Money in the Bank briefcase. This time, Ziggler managed to sustain a push, and though that can't all be credited to a good match with Jericho, it didn't hurt, either.
