10 Times Irresistible Forces Met Immovable Objects In Wrestling
10. The Big Show Vs. The Great Khali
At WrestleMania XXIV, The Big Show faced the diminutive boxer Floyd Mayweather in a special attraction match.
The bout provided WWE with a lot of mainstream coverage, and must be considered a successful spectacle, all things considered. Less than a full month later, Show had a different challenge on his hands.
For the Backlash pay-per-view, WWE officials decided to pair one giant off with another. Standing toe-to-toe in the middle of the ring at the event, The Big Show and The Great Khali looked like two mountains about to wage war. It was like something out of a movie, which was likely the exact visual WWE wanted to create.
Going 8 minutes, it was never going to be a technical masterpiece. However, Show vs. Khali didn't need to be, it simply had to answer the question over who was superior.
Big Show would win the match, even though the situation was more even away from the cameras backstage.
Chris Jericho has often told about a battle in the locker room between both men, one which must have been a scary sight for passersby.
