10. Chris Jericho Ruins Edge's Dream Comeback €“ WrestleMania XXVI

After Edge returned and won the 2010 Royal Rumble, he initially held off on announcing whether he€™d challenge for the WWE Championship or the World Heavyweight Championship at that year€™s WrestleMania. Following former partner Chris Jericho€™s WHC win at the Elimination Chamber PPV, Edge seized the opportunity to face his one-time cohort at the Showcase of the Immortals. Story-wise, this made perfect sense seeing as how Jericho had regularly mocked Edge on TV after the Rated-R Superstar got injured whilst the pair were still Tag Team Champions. So the stage was set. WWE love a feel-good €˜triumphant return from injury€™ storyline, and so all logic pointed to the only possible result at WrestleMania XXVI being a World Heavyweight Championship win for Edge. Needless to say, it was a major shock to see Jericho emerge victorious at the University of Phoenix Stadium. Not to worry, though, for Edge would get some semblance of justice by spearing Jericho through a barricade after the match and then also attacking him on the post-Mania edition of Smackdown, which led to Jack Swagger cashing in his Money in the Bank briefcase and becoming World Heavyweight Champion.
