Kanyon's face on the way to the ring for this WWF and WCW Tag-Team Title match really told the story. Both he and his partner DDP looked concerned, fully knowing they were scheduled to be squashed by Kane and The Undertaker. That's exactly what happened, 10 minutes of a full on beating for the WCW crew inside a Steel Cage. The gimmick didn't really fit the scenario, there was no real need to shoe horn a cage into proceedings. This match took place smack bang in the middle of the worst period of the entire 'Invasion' angle. WCW wrestlers were not allowed to look all that competitive against their WWF counterparts, which made this match in particular feel pretty worthless. Around this time, DDP was also pinned by The Undertaker's then-wife, Sara on Raw. It was a sorry state of affairs for the former WCW World Champion, but it's also baffling that Undertaker chose to treat him this way. Surely a competitive match would have been preferable for all involved? This relative squash didn't do much for The Undertaker and Kane either, it was simply time filler.
