10 Times Vince McMahon Cut Off His Nose To Spite His Face

10. The Roman Empire

What will it take for Vince to give up on the Roman Reigns experiment?

Yes, he's adopted a tweener role of late, but that smacks of Vince clinging on for dear life rather than relinquishing his grip. Vince doesn't care about the jeers, even if he does try to neutralise them with his mic-muting shenanigans - if he did, Cena would have been turned a long time ago. Bret Hart recently remarked that it takes a lot for Vince to give up on a push, given that several T-shirt designs and promotional materials are dreamt up well in advance. (if only WWE's television storylines were considered with such forethought.)

It therefore looks like we're stuck with Reigns for a while yet. The thing is, in persisting with this push, Vince probably isn't alienating existing fans to a serious degree. Unless Network subscriptions or ratings plummet with Reigns atop the mountain, he won't feel in any rush, wellness policy violation or not. At least with the forthcoming brand split, we'll only see him for half the time - unless they don't treat the separation too seriously, which is entirely possible.

And, if we can put up with some of the other entries on this list, we're not going to suddenly stop watching...
