It's somewhat sobering to imagine that CM Punk may never again appear on WWE television. For years, Punk was such a fabric of the product and he managed to rise up through the ranks due to his own talent, drive and an unwavering sense of self-belief. In 2011, he became the most talked about man in wrestling in one fell swoop. During a late-June episode of Raw, Punk delivered one of the most intense and memorable promos in the program's history. Confronting John Cena, he revealed that he intended to leave WWE with the WWE Title following Money In The Bank, and then turned his attention to the McMahon family, Triple H and others. Drenched in realism, the segment felt different to the saccharine format which was being presented around that time on Raw. Fans were in awe as Punk tore through Vince and Stephanie, before lambasting Triple H for his arrogance. Along the way, he even said hello to Colt Cabana and talked about Ring Of Honor. It was startling to see someone being given this much freedom during an era when things had become so heavily scripted.
