10 Times Wrestlers Went Totally Off Script

10. CM Punk Puts A Fan In His Place

As CM Punk himself pointed out, fans are free to shout what they like when they pay their money for a seat at a WWE show. Equally, though, wrestlers are free to call them out, mid-promo, for being rude and obnoxious.

That was what happened on the post-SummerSlam 2013 edition of Raw, when a visibly agitated Straight Edge Superstar decided that he wasn't going to let a loud-mouthed member of the Anaheim audience eat into his precious mic time.

There can be little doubt that this moment was unscripted. If it hadn't been, said fan would likely have born an uncanny resemblance to an NXT rookie, and joined Punk in the ring after accepting his challenge of an impromptu clear-the-air scrap.

Plus: Punk used naughty words, a privilege normally only reserved for the likes of John Cena, The Rock, and Brock Lesnar who - as we know only too well - have always been a few rungs above the former ROH star in the pecking order.
