After Jack Swagger dropped the World Heavyweight Championship to Rey Mysterio in June 2010, there was speculation among fans that he was going to be revealed as the one who attacked The Undertaker over Memorial Day weekend. Instead, he was removed from the main event scene all together. As fans, we should have seen that coming. Not only was Swagger no longer in contention for the prestigious prize, he wasn't even involved in anything of note for the remainder of the year. He didn't engage in any real rivalries: he just floated around the roster, but at least he made an attempt to reinvent himself by adding the bald eagle mascot to his act. Swagger has long been criticized for not being charismatic, so he looked to silence those naysayers by bringing in a bald eagle mascot to cheer him on from ringside. It was actually hilarious... at least until WWE randomly had Edge "flip the bird" and put him out of action indefinitely, never to make a return. And just like that, Swagger was irrelevant once again. A wasted opportunity.
