Wade Barrett's latest incarnation still holds the 'King' name, but he doesn't really come to the ring in his corny attire any longer. That can only be considered a positive, but the silver lining on any potential cloud has been washed away by his standing on the roster. Barrett is part of the League Of Nations, but he's clearly there to make up the numbers. This is perhaps indicative of how far his stock has fallen over the past few years. Previously, WWE were interested in positioning the guy as the leader of heel factions, knowing that he was capable of enunciating his words well on television and putting his point across. Fast-forward to 2015-2016 and the man is hardly ever seen talking on shows like Raw and Smackdown. His only purpose in the League Of Nations up to this point has been as a mere lackey. He rarely wins matches, and there have been periods when he hasn't appeared with Sheamus, Alberto Del Rio and Rusev at all. Even though this was down to injury, it wasn't acknowledged by the announcers. It's like Barrett didn't exist at all.
