We know for a fact that Hogan and The Rock were forced into changing plans right in the middle of their WrestleMania X8 match after realising that the Toronto crowd weren't going to play ball.

Though he sported his nWo black tights and walked to the ring without the patriotic sound of "I Am A Real American", fans (mostly Canadian) couldn't help but remember his former life as a red and yellow defender of the realm.

Hogan even used the referee's timely nap to nail his opponent between the legs, but it was all in vain. The audience had made up their mind: they wanted to see their childhood hero roll back the years. And he duly obliged.
