10 Times WWE Missed Out On Making Sheamus A Superstar

2. Ending Rusev's Streak

If Sheamus defeated Rusev when the then-undefeated Bulgarian Brute wrestled Sheamus for the US Championship on November 3, 2014, Sheamus would've had some great steam for his character headed into 2015. Imagine Sheamus and John Cena in a babyface vs. babyface feud for the US Championship based off of respect and the idea that Sheamus may have started doing open challenges after defeating Rusev and Cena defeats him as his first opponent. Angry Rusev challenging Cena and at Wrestlemania could've be good. Sheamus then stepping up and wanting the match against Rusev as a #1 contenders match for Cena's championship (and winning), would've allowed him to have matches with the likes of Cena, Kevin Owens and more could've been better.
