10 Times WWE Mocked What We Really Wanted

8. Sister Abigail...

It wasn't hard.

Bray Wyatt spoke of a "Sister Abigail" throughout his promos as a spectral influence over his life and cause, whatever the f*ck that actually was. Fans instantly took this literally and decided that he should have a female valet named Sister Abigail.

But who to play this swampy witch? A frail older woman, perhaps, inspired by the encroaching dread of that bathroom scene in The Shining?

Of course not: an incredibly vocal and enthusiastic strain of online fans seemed to really, really want a surrogate big tiddy goth gf!

For practically aeons, Paige was fan-cast into the role. When she retired from active competition, attention was turned to Liv Morgan. Basically, if you weren't a Horsewoman, certain Wyatt acolytes were desperate to dye your hair black.

Less facetiously, it might have added a different dimension to the Wyatt act, and WWE did eventually listen and sort of approach something like this with the Alexa Bliss character in 2020 - but that was less "sinister presence at ringside" and more "demon clown terrorises young woman who weirdly acts like a young child subsequently".

She wasn't Sister Abigail; Wyatt was, as revealed in 2017 in the most risible twist imaginable.
