10 Times WWE Wasted HUGE Teases

4. The Nexus' Higher Power

G*damn it.

It's hard not to start an entry on The Nexus without that sort of awful stifled annoyance that squashes your insides slightly. The type of rage you have to suppress when an in-law spouts something you completely disagree with as they're cooking you dinner, or the bullsh*t an old mate fires into a WhatsApp group with that's as dated a take now as it was when it was first uttered decades earlier.

For f*cks sake, man.

There's nothing anybody can do about it now. It was 2010 and the world's changed so much that even an attempt to recreate the chaos they caused for the briefest of moments becomes the stupidest storyline of the year. Mustafa Ali deserves more than to lead Retribution into the abyss, just as Wade Barrett did as the leader and mouthpiece of the only-slightly-dangerous FCW survivors. In both cases, they've spoke of things greater than what we're seeing on screen. In Barrett's case, if you think that was paid off, I'm afraid I've got some bad news.

Wade spoke of a bigger picture to all of the carnage, but unless that was getting John Cena to wear an arm band for a few weeks, the concept was rapidly dropped. It had "Higher Power" vibes in truth, though that verbiage had been used by another wrestler they'd try and mix in with before the whole thing completely went to sh*t...
