10 Times WWE Wrestlers Played Several Characters At Once
10. Hulk Hogan / Mr. America
Hogan’s last full-time run with WWE was the definition of topsy-turvy. You had things like that legendary showdown with The Rock at WrestleMania 18 at one end, on the other end you had car wrecks like the worst-Chokeslam-ever during his World Championship-losing bout with The Undertaker. Nothing however, can compare with the sheer bizarreness of the Mr. America angle.
Following his match with Vince McMahon at WrestleMania XIX, Hogan continued his feud with the boss by returning as a masked figure calling himself Mr. America. Of course there was barely even a sense of pretence to all this. America used all of Hogan’s gestures and moves, and even came out to his entrance music.
It was not like the story was meant to pretend otherwise. The whole thing was centred around McMahon trying to get the masked figure to admit he was Hulk Hogan and no longer part of WWE. The audience were being asked to believe the masked dude and not Vince, despite the fact that it was clear as day what was happening. Still, the Hulkster did technically play these two characters at once, so here he is.
