10 Top Drawing WWE Stars In WrestleMania History

By Graham Matthews /

10. Bret Hart

Having appeared at 13 WrestleMania events, it's no surprise that Bret Hart would rank as one of the top 10 greatest draws in the event's history. Of his many appearances on the grand stage, he was in marquee matches at six of them. And though he may not have played an integral role in WrestleMania's success early on, his slow ascension to the top of the card paid dividends for several Superstars in the '90s. From Stone Cold Steve Austin to Shawn Michaels, everyone who worked with him at 'Mania was better off afterward. Most WrestleManias he was a part of didn't do as strong of numbers as the ones that followed, but Hart was still a major name to headline the event in his final years with the company. In his 2010 return, his No Holds Barred clash with Mr. McMahon was also a heavily promoted match in the weeks leading up to WrestleMania 26, leading to it scoring nearly 900,000 pay-per-view buys. And his many memorable matches on the grandest stage and immense popularity during the mid '90s also served as the bridge to the future instalments.
