Speaking of which, even though the business of pro wrestling has naturally evolved over time, there are still some elements which should never change. Sure, have wrestlers who fall neatly into that 'grey' area between black and white, 'tweeners' who are neither babyface or heel, but if the good guys have to be easy to relate to, the bad ones must be cold, calculated monsters who nobody would want to be like. Remember when Vader crushed the beloved Gorilla Monsoon, for example? There were minor cheers from some, of course, because some people are genetically predisposed to liking the bad guys in things like movies and entertainment in general, but the wrestler came across as a genuinely horrible person for taking advantage of the aging former grappler and announcer. A true heel/villain is someone who strives to be utterly unappealing to the audience. Not unattractive in a conventional sense, but simply enabling the babyface to have an easier time rallying support from people to see him put the 'baddie' in his/her place. Wrestling may have changed, but there should always be those characters who are bordering on being evil, instead of being cheered for being cooler than everyone else.
