10 UFC Rivals Who Seriously Can’t Stand Each Other
10. Matt Serra And Matt Hughes
Matt Serra and Matt Hughes' legendary rivalry kicked off back when the former was a contestant on The Ultimate Fighter and the latter was a guest coach on the show.
Serra didn't appreciate the way that Hughes spoke to some of his fellow Mixed Martial Artists.
Over the years, the pair would continually go back and forth and even became rival coaches on TUF season 6.
Then, they finally came face-to-face in the Octagon at UFC 98 and Hughes was the fighter who came out on top, earning a unanimous decision victory in the 'Fight of the Night' winner.
It looked like that was it.
That was until they decided to reignite their feud a few years after retiring. In 2015, Hughes claimed that it would only take one call from Dana White to bring him out of retirement for the rematch. In response to this, Serra said, 'I can’t stand that guy' on the Anik and Florian podcast, before saying his response would be 'let's do it' if the fight was a realistic possibility.
White didn't end up booking the highly anticipated rematch in the end, but this beef seems like it's still far from over.
