6. Bret Hart Defeats Steve Austin (WrestleMania 13)

Definitely the most unique entry on this list, Bret Hart's infamous victory over Steve Austin at WrestleMania 13 helped change the direction of the then-WWF, ushering in what would become known as the 'Attitude Era'. Double turns are precarious at the best of times, especially on a stage as huge as 'Mania, but when there are two world-class performers such as Austin and Hart, it all looks so easy. 'The Hitman' had been brewing a turn to the darkside for quite some time. Fans were growing tired of him as a holier-than-thou good guy, favouring the anti-establishment antics of Austin instead. The world was changing somewhat, and Austin was just the man to steer the company through that change. Passing out in the Sharpshooter, a bloodied Austin would lose the match itself, but gain so much more in the process. On the flipside, by refusing to break the hold on someone the fans were so heavily into, Bret Hart became public enemy number one, kicking off an intriguing chapter of his career, and giving him his last truly great WrestleMania moment.
