10 Unfortunate Members Of WWE's 50/50 Club

8. King Barrett

Arguably, King Barrett has been victim of more start-and-stop pushes than anyone else on this list. It all started when he debuted on the main roster as leader of the Nexus and was pushed to the very top of the card, main-eventing PPVs and feuding with several top WWE superstars, none bigger than John Cena. As hot as the angle was to start, the Nexus storyline fizzled out quickly due to WWE booking and Barrett's push was all but over by the end of Survivor Series 2010. Throughout the next several years, Barrett would be repackaged several times and on the precipice of stardom, but whether it was due to ill-timed injuries in 2014 and 2012, when he was rumored to have been the eventual Money In The Bank winner, or backstage decisions and politics, he has yet to reach the heights he had envisioned upon his debut. Barrett has done well with nearly every persona he has been given, but it will take more than another gimmick change, and likely some hard fought victories, to move him back up the card.
