Dynamite opened with the entire AEW roster coming together.

JR welcomed everyone to the show with a quick, "It's Wednesday, and you know what that means". Then, he sent things down to Justin Roberts so the ring announcer could introduce a special 10 bell salute to Brodie Lee's memory. It was classy, as you'd expect.

There were ashen faces all round, and there was an overwhelming sense of emotion as the cameras caught several (including Cody Rhodes and Tony Khan) closing their eyes or looking up to the heavens. It was particularly harrowing to see Brodie's eight year old son rest his head on a kendo stick.

Honouring a fallen friend was clearly important to everyone in AEW, but it'd be a lie to suggest it wasn't difficult to watch Lee's younger lad being consoled by his grieving mother as each bell sounded.
