10 Ups & 3 Downs From Last Night's WWE NXT (Sept 25)
4. Ever-Rising
Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch are one of the most underrated teams in all of WWE, making it little surprise that this angle-free effort against the newly-named Ever-Rise made for enjoyable second hour fare.
The Canadians have been impressive in defeat so far, and Lorcan and Burch make it easy to look good (and extremely painful) getting knocked all over.
The two remain the best chance The Undisputed Era have of knocking out a banger on par with their 2018 form as NXT continues the long road back to having a successful tag division, and it's with some relief the brand's cohesion with 205 Live suggests they may be a featured fixture on Wednesdays.
Ever-Rise members Chase Parker and Matt Martel are some way back in the queue, but will get there quicker in this brave new televised world thanks to some very obvious sh*thouse skills. It's a dreadful name, but much like “AEW Dynamite” and “non-USA Audiences will have to pay for AEW Dynamite”, it’s the sort of dreadful wrestling fans eventually just learn to accept.
