W. Morrissey only did two things this week; he booted Rich Swann in the back of the skull, and then sent his face into a backstage door. To think he looked more like a killer here than he ever did during his WWE stint is a testament to IMPACT Wrestling’s booking of big beefy boys.
The former Big Cass was the subject of Rich Swann’s interview with Gia Miller, with Swann essentially being the saviour of IMPACT. He was recuperating following his Rebellion loss to Kenny Omega, but saw that Morrissey was trying to tear down the company that Swann had helped salvage. Hence why Under Siege was the right time for him to return, to come to the aid of Willie Mack as Morrissey continued his assault post-match.
That’s when the boot struck. The guy has a strong boot on the best of days, but when it hits the back of an opponent’s head, he looks like a beast. It helps when he gets to execute it on an opponent who’s far smaller; it worked vs. Sam Beale, and it worked superbly vs. Swann here.
The inevitable Morrissey vs. Swann clash is going to be a hoot. Your writer cannot wait.
