Deonna went from a nobody in WWE to a Hall of Fame-worthy star in IMPACT almost instantaneously, boasting two runs as Knockouts Champion, winning the inaugural knockouts Iron Man match, retiring Jazz from IMPACT, and being the Homecoming Queen to her IMPACT CV. Her career was entirely rejuvenated by arriving in Nashville, so for her reign to be ended by a legend is a tad deflating. At the very least, it should have been a potential future star who ended her run on top of the division.
There's no denying that Mickie will likely be a superb Knockouts Champion, but just now simply wasn't the time.
