Bad News Brown was a curious figure on pay-per-views for much of the late-1980s.

Useful for banter at the Royal Rumble and Survivor Series due to his inability to coexist with anybody, Brown's purpose on gimmick-free pay-per-views was undone by the company's routine failure to push him beyond this position.

WWE steered into this at WrestleMania V, as the Harlem native barely had time to get his grump y sh*t in before he was trading weapons shots with Hacksaw Jim Duggan in a match that ultimately ended as meaninglessly as it had begun.
