If you were a conspiracy theorist who believes that WWE not only doesn’t listen to its fans, but actively tries to spite them, you had to look no further than the United States Championship match at WrestleMania.

Four men vied for the title: champ Randy Orton, Jinder Mahal, Bobby Roode and Rusev. With thousands of people chanting “Rusev Day,” who do you think ate the pinfall? Yep. And who won, after a distraction? Yep.

Some will argue that Jinder draws huge heel heat, so this could be a good move, and even could set Rusev up for the chase. However, we just went through this last year, with Mahal as WWE Champion, which failed to move the needle. So that argument is wrong.

The match itself was nothing special, certainly nothing we haven’t seen on TV or a B-PPV before, which also was disappointing.
