Last month, a column pegged Kevin Owens debut as the third-best introduction of an NXT wrestler (with Paige and the Shield being the top two). At the time, Owens had been on the main roster barely a month and already had made an incredible impression, attacking and later beating John Cena in his debut match. In the weeks that followed, Owens has lost a rematch with Cena but has solidified his position on the roster as a legit threat who should hang around the top of the card for some time. His debut and the manner in which he has verbally and physically assaulted roster stalwart Cena is one of the brightest spots in WWE this year.It is impossible not to be impressed by Owens, and fans should expect big things from him in the second half of the year. Obviously, not everyone can come into WWE with such a fire lit under him or her, but this should be the gold standard going forward.
