10. Women’s Tag Titles Defended

Call your friends! We had an unprecedented scene at SummerSlam during the kickoff show.

The WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship was defended Sunday!

It might seem silly, but Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross successfully defended their newly won titles six nights after winning them, against the team who last held them, the IIconics. The match itself was garbage, with Billie Kay & Peyton Royce still looking lost in the ring, but the story here is that Bliss & Cross actually put the titles on the line on television.

By comparison, the IIconics went a solid 10 weeks before they defended the titles on TV. That’s just insane.

So we’ll take this one as a positive, regardless of match quality.
