If Super Showdown was the last match Undertaker had ever had, we would have bene talking about what a disappointment his career ended on.

Thankfully, Taker rebounded Sunday night in a tag team match with Roman Reigns against Drew McIntyre and Shane McMahon. After looking old, sluggish, clumsy and well past his prime, UT looked much crisper at Extreme Rules, hitting his signature spots and moving around the ring pretty well.

The fact that this was a tag team match where Taker wasn’t called upon to carry the entire bout definitely helped, but that’s part of the point. At this stage in his career, this might be the ideal use for Undertaker: a special attraction who occasionally teams up with someone or wrestles someone who can mask any shortcomings.

Regardless, kudos on this match, leaving a better taste in fans’ mouths.
