Whether you believe that the Shield was broken up prematurely or that you think this was a brilliant move by WWE, Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns have shown in 2014 that they are a large part of the future of the company. Each of them has had an opportunity to stand out as individual characters since the summer, and they arent disappointing. Rollins is probably the surprise of the group, as Reigns has long been tapped to be a megastar, and Ambrose was known as the gifted talker and manic performer. But Rollins role seemed to be a little more up in the air until his turn as the Authoritys golden boy cemented his position near the top of the card. Rollins has become the de facto top heel throughout the fall, and hes poised to remain a main event fixture into the future. Ambrose was the benefactor of Roman Reigns injury, getting vaulted into a top babyface position. Even though hes lost more often than hes won, Ambrose continues to get a solid crowd reaction, and his unique mannerisms and style should help keep him in the mix for a good while. Lastly, Reigns might have gotten knocked off track due to a hernia, but hes back to close out the year and is being set up for a monster 2015.Seeing how all three Shield members have risen to the occasion makes questioning the breakup of the group moot.
