As rare as it is to see Lesnar show up on WWE TV, it’s even rarer still to see him work a house show with his limited part-time schedule.

But at the turn of this year, he actually appeared at three such events in back-to-back months across Texas and California. The first of which saw him take on Alberto Del Rio in Inglewood, CA, in what was Lesnar’s first untelevised house show appearance since February 2004.

And not only that, but with Del Rio’s United States Championship on the line, Lesnar had the chance to win a belt that he’d previously never challenged for.

Of course, it was always going to be unlikely to see Lesnar win a second-tier title on an untelevised house show in 2015. And that proved to be the case when Rusev’s interference saw the match end via a disqualification.

Up until then, Lesnar had been firmly in the ascendency. A hat-trick of Germans took the suplex count to six before Rusev’s arrival brought the contest to an end. Lesnar duly rewarded to Bulgarian with a pair of F5s for his efforts.
