9. West Texas Rednecks

When fans think of Curt Hennig, they envision his days as Mr. Perfect, they conjure images of his wrestling prowess, and they remember his skill on the microphone. Possibly, some people even think about Curt€™s start in the AWA, and his upbringing in Minnesota. What practically no one thinks of when they hear the name Curt Hennig is the state of Texas, or Hennig€™s short-lived country music group, the West Texas Rednecks. The Rednecks were established as a heel group set to feud with rapper Master P and his No Limit Soldiers. However, things swiftly shifted, as the primarily Southern fanbase of WCW sided with the country €œmusicians€. Consisting of Hennig, Barry Windham, Kendall Windham, and Bobby Duncum, Jr., the Rednecks recorded the song €œRap is Crap€, voicing their disdain for the genre. After their short-lived feud with the No Limit Soldiers, Hennig and his crew would face off with Harlem Heat and the Filthy Animals. The Windham brothers even captured the WCW Tag Team Championship during this time, and the group would record another song, €œGood Ol€™ Boys€, before quietly disbanding.
